PlantHealth has a policy of equal opportunities for women, and gender balance will be considered carefully.
80% of the scholarships shall be allocated to the best-evaluated candidates. These 80% of the scholarships shall be evenly distributed among regions whenever the quality of the candidate is guaranteed.
The remaining 20% of the scholarships will be allocated to high-scoring applicants with greater vulnerability (refugees, from disadvantaged backgrounds, with special needs or low income) and will also be used to promote gender balance where appropriate. If these scholarships are not used (due to a lack of applicants meeting the above requirements) they will be reallocated to regular applicants, increasing the initial 80% of the scholarships for these candidates.
